How An Invisible God Connects with Us
Romans Riches of Christ #2
Throughout our lives, many of us wonder about the unseen dimensions of life, asking questions like, Is there really a purpose for my life? We often feel the invisible forces shaping our world—thoughts, emotions, and the spiritual realm—yet we struggle to connect with the invisible God who created all things.
God’s Invisible Presence and How He Works
The universe is full of unseen forces, as scientists observe with dark matter and dark energy. Even if these forces cannot be fully explained, their effects are evident in the world. Similarly, God, though invisible to the human eye, is very real and desires to be actively involved in every person’s life. Jesus described the work of God’s Spirit as something invisible, like the wind—“The wind blows where it wishes... so is everyone who is born of the Spirit” (John 3:8).
If you’re not naturally inclined toward emotional or spiritual experiences, don't worry! You can still connect deeply with God, as His presence is available to all who seek Him. God can be consistently experienced through His Spirit, even though we won’t see Him physically on earth. Through His Word and Spirit, we can experience His power, guidance, and transformative presence.
Romans’ Riches of Christ – Foundations for Experiencing God
In the book of Romans, God offers us spiritual riches that transform our lives. To experience these promises, we first need a foundational understanding of how God works. It begins with His Word and Spirit—God’s primary colors—which interact with His creation to reveal His eternal power and divine nature. Just as light, the earth, and plants were part of His creative process, God still uses His Word and Spirit today to engage us and fulfill His purposes in our lives.
God’s Primary Tools: Word and Spirit
Genesis 1 reveals the way God works: through His Word and Spirit. When God speaks, creation happens. The Bible shows that God's Word is alive and active, and the Holy Spirit empowers His Word to bring transformation. Everything God does is connected through His Word and His Spirit. And now, we as His people, filled with His Spirit, continue to partner with Him in sharing His Word to build His kingdom on earth.
Connecting with God: His Word, Spirit, and Creation
To connect with an invisible God, we must understand how God works through His Word, Spirit, and Creation. These three components interact to help us experience the fullness of His life and power. Just as God used light to begin His creation, He now uses His Word and Spirit to bring light into our lives, guiding us and revealing His truths.
In our next discussion, we’ll dive deeper into the riches of Christ found in Romans and explore how these foundational principles lead to abundant life and transformation.
My goal is to help busy believers experience God more deeply, grow consistently—both spiritually and personally—and confidently live out their unique purpose.
